Falling in Love - Journey
I’ll keep this brief, since im a horrible writer at the best of times.
Quick overview: You are a little jawa/man travelling to the big glowy in the distance. On the way you might run into other travellers, and you can travel together. You WILL fall in love.
Long version (With no spoilers, so read!) The $20 price tag might put some people off, but, after playing it myself, Journey will make you love video games again. Solid controls, a great concept and excellent environments etc etc.
Dat sand: Oh god, so good just sliding down sand dunes, making tracks, trudging uphill
Companions: I would like to thank the 4 people i met while travelling (We werent all together at one, you only travel as a pair at most… sometimes you wander off from each other, but you’ll find new people!)

Now, i said there wouldn’t be spoilers, and i kind of regret that now… because I really want to talk about some of the great sections of the game!! Either way, companions are what make this game. Whether its chirping to each other as you run along, shouting out to fill up each others jump meters, or even huddling close in the snow… i dont think ive felt as close to someone before (even though you have no way of direct communication in game)
So yeah, I dont want to spoil any locations or events in the game, but i promise you, you will NEVER regret buying and playing this. If you know me personally, I will refund 50% of the cost if you can honestly tell me you didnt enjoy it (and finished the game)

Just got back from a weekend long lan at uni. Finally bought/played rock of ages. I can’t believe noone had told me to get it earlier. From the screenshots i thought it was some bullshit sidescrolling game and i’d ignored it. It is actually a downhill sanic speed simulator with a tower defense building segment too!!
Ok, so as well as 6 having its stupid red at the top issue, i now get the added bonus of the publisher changing halfway through!
Out of all the art books you get with collectors editions, the one from MGS HD, has to be one of the best. firstly its not one of those pissy dvd case sized books. secondly, it beats the average ~15 pages by going to 250. finally, its MGS, so yeah, that sums it up.
Today started out horribly, with me being late to my 7am start at work (with only a few hours sleep)
The day ended terrifically though: I bought candy and was given free twinkies AND when i got home, my MGS HD limited edition had turned up!!!
Finally grabbed kingdoms of amalur off steam, and have not regretted it for a second. Gives me all the mmo type gameplay i need to sate my addiction.
Combat is very flashy, especially the finishing moves from building up fate (so so so so good) everything seems to chain together pleasantly too. Load times are practically non-existent, even when quick travelling i wait roughly a second.
I’d recommend grabbing it if you want another time sink in your life.
OK OK ok… Star Wars Ep 1 in 3d, i have to see this, but i have a question.
Is podracing in 3d better or best?
